Marketing Research Analyst Job Summary

The Marketing Research Analyst will perform granular data analysis and thorough market, industry, and company specific research. They will support a variety of multi-industry client products. The analyst must be comfortable working with large data sets and using powerful data analysis software packages, but more importantly be capable and willing to regularly conduct original research using various methods of obtaining information from interviews to google searches. The position requires a meticulous, curious, and thoughtful individual with communication, time management and planning skills and excellent work ethic.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with the executive team to develop innovative quantitative and qualitative insights that will impress our clients
  • Gather, organize, document, and analyze large data sets and succinctly communicate results, conclusions, and actionable recommendations to our company and client leadership
  • Deep dive research into a variety of business areas that will inform our client strategies
  • Drive strategy and make business recommendations based on thorough quantitative and qualitative analyses
  • Draft compelling internal and external presentations with guidance from senior executives

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in an analyst role, conducting original industry, market, and company research
  • BA/BS in business, economics, finance, math, statistics, or related field
  • Effective written and verbal communications skills – ability to synthesize large data sets and concisely present findings to senior team
  • Expert in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, as well as in the ability to quickly pick up new programs
  • Outstanding organization, time management, and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as an effective team member with a broad array of people from multiple departments as well as develop relationships with industry insiders and experts
  • Basic programming skills a plus but not required
